Taking an evening course at west lothian collage. Start tomorrow so am all nervous.
Still haven't bought wedding rings... Yikes!

Well I got my tetanus jab so that I can volunteer to walk the rescue dogs at west Calder dogs trust. Jab was fine I think the adrenaline from my panic attack made it painless. However now my arm is killing me I can hardly move it and I have shooting pains down my arm and up my neck. Still, it will be worth it in the end.
Other news is that west Calder gas supply was cut off as they are fixing a water leak at the gas mains. Went off last night and earliest it will be on is sometime tomorrow. So no oven, heating or hot water. What a pain!
Anyway back to work now that I have all that off my chest.

Wedding organisation has begun. At least we chose 5 buffet items at the weekend so I think we are off to a good start.

Is it really my fault that the hard drive that ben bought and left on the coffee table for a week went missing? I put it in the 'computer room' AND is it my fault that it slid behind the computer out of sight? And is it my fault that his highness decided 5 mins before we left this morning that he wanted said harddrive? Grrrrrr

Ridiculously excited about Xmas. Will be having our first one in our new home and the first time that I've cooked it. But where oh where did all the lovely snow go? No snow angels for me... Yet.
Work Xmas party is next week in coventry. Will have to get over fear of prop planes as that's how we are getting home. Booze will help I hope."

I think my hamster is ill or trying to hibernate. 'fat ham' /'Nano' has lost weight and is hiding all food instead of eating it. Nibble seems ok weight wise but is is less active than usual. Have turned up the heating - hope that helps.

The shitty thing is that you pay for the damn deposit, the bank fees, the solicitor fees and then you need to pay even more to fix up the house (VERY dodgy decor! All mixed, dark paterns and borders and evil foamy wallpaper), so have been decorating to a budget. Good thing is that while my mum and dad helped with the deposit, Ben's mum and dad are DIY experts and have been helping with electrics and whatnot.
Anyway, back at work today and working on house in the evenings. Very exited about eventually moving in although not looking forwards to lifting the freezer, cooker or washing machine.
Anyway, back to wurk, lots of catching up to do.

I would really like the keys before I'm off to Spain on the 23rd. It's quite frightening spending so much money on something that I've only seen once (granted we spent an hour there) but still...I've spent more time choosing a dress.
I have been budgeting like crazy to prepare for fee's and bills, an administrative mishap on Friday meant i was horribly embarrassed whilst paying for my shopping as my card was declined and I was arguing away that i did have the money but when i checked, the bank had taken their admin fee's from my account without any warning (if warnings had been given i could have directed them to the account that actually had some money in it), anyway we got it sorted eventually and without any dodgy overdraft fees.
Weather is rather gray and overcast here, the kind of constant miserable weather that does make you consider moving to warmer climates. Don't get me wrong i love winter when it's freezing and you drink hot chocolate and wear funky scarves to warm up but this weather is like sludge and has no obvious redeeming qualities, except... the other week after shredding masses of bills etc we dropped the bag on the road(the A71) and it burst and blew everywhere and the rain at least seems to have melted/washed away the bits we couldn't grab.

You Are 40% Goth |
![]() You definitely have some gothicness going on, but you're far from being a stereotypical goth. You enjoy certain elements of goth culture, but you're not going to be into something simply because it's goth. It's likely that you're the type of person who totally defies labels. Good for you! If you are into something, it's because you sincerely love it. Not because it projects a certain image. |

I have to work in Glasgow Thurs, Fri and all next week. A bit rubbish as it involves paying for travel and food and makes my day 3 hours longer than it needs to be. The worst part is working in this little roon they set aside for me to test in, with no windows. I am looking forwards to traveling in the train, you can spend the time reading books and chilling out before work. So i need to buy a 'train book' (wonder if i can charge that to the company).
Ben wrote off his car on sat, actually that is unfair he was on his own side of the road, braking to go around a corner and a car coming from the other direction spun and hit him side on. Claiming for insurance is deeply inconveniant. Ben has to break his no-claims streak because of this and find another car that is as good as the 'batmobile'.
Belly dancing was on yesterday and the dance is actually starting to come together. I might be doing a solo wooooooo, depends on whether i can find a song and choreograph(?) all by myself which is probably doubtful, still it was nice to be asked.
Me, liomari and pals are going to Club Noir in Glasgow on Sat for the Battle of the sexes ball. I'm really looking forwards to it! I have a really nice dress, halterneck, Marlyn Monroe style, black with cherries on it (which are actually little red skulls) and vintage black elbow length gloves. Can't wait to get all dressed up and see the show!

Saw Scanner darkly on Friday - i liked the mad conversations but i thought it was a bit slow in areas. Saturday was great ;) thankyou for the food and the laughs (liomari).
Sunday i lazed around and bought 'elektroplankton' for my DS which is really pretty and a completly useless game. After a long time procrastinating I fitted new lino in the bathroom on Monday, which replaces stinky old carpet.
On a sad note my Gran is still in hospital and is very sick, she has taken a bad reaction to her chemotherapy tablets and they aren't really sure what to do with her. It looks like she will have to have radiotherapy which they were trying to avoid. Shes in a horrible little room on her own and seems quite depressed and it's weird seeing her bald as she has always been obsessed with her looks.
saturday involved buying the best dress from River Island. Its like a cocktail dress, faintly 80's style but really pretty, black and pink with green parts. this dress demands funky bright shoes and cardie (well it is a wedding). I can't wait to wear it, it fits soooo well. Me and carrie got back late and then watched Hex (the first series).
Sunday we celebrated my mums birthday, which was actually on Saturday but she was in Blackpool checking out my dad's new snack van which is cool and green and shiny.
Today was not so good...car broke down, on a (single lane) bridge, between two traffic lights.
Sun was shining in my eyes and the dam thing would not start. Suddenly the shadow of a tall, imposing man blocked the sunlight from my eyes and then emerged like a big, cheerful knight in shining armour...Mr Pender. Thanks Mr.P
ben decided to tow me to work - it was horrific, the damn tow rope was just over a metre long and ben kept slowing down and speeding up. He eventually stopped mid way to shout at me for "nearly taking the back off his car off" and also in response to my screaming (i didn't realise that the brakes wouldn't work so well with the engine off so i paniced).
So i kept the rope as taught as possible the rest of the journey by using the brakes only to be met with "Did you have the damn brakes on the whole time!"
Time of the month and all i was a little tearful by the end of the journey.
Now i'm at work and the boys are off to buy fans from LIDL cause its so bloody hot in here. (I can see all my paperwork getting blown off the desk - sigh. Just let us go home!

First week i was ill and less said the better.
Last week i was working for one of our clients in Glasgow helping them test our software. I was NOT looking forwards to it (cause they hate us - the software is 2 years late and doesn't run as smoothly as they would like)When i arrived they were (understandably) rather negative. I think it went ok - i remained (probably annoyingly) chirpy and cheerful and towards the end it did seem to rub off on them. Happy to be back in the office today though, call me a wuss but the hours travel in and back and the extension to my 8 and 1/2 hour day to 11 hours pretty much knackered me.
On saturday me and Ben hosted a BBQ at his mum and dads house (They have buggered off to france and left me to dog sit) It went well - we had LOADS of food and booze and some decent weather. Plus swing ball and a trampolene. We played games and sang Kareoke and generally reverted to 10 year olds which was fun.
Liomari was excellent on Guitar Hero :D Picked it up like a pro! Some of the other members of the party....not so good ;)
Well off to the gym tonight with Carrie and then to Liomari's tomorrow, i believe baked tatties are on the menu.
